So welcome to the year 2010 and what a year it shall be ... at least here at Imagination Shoppe. There are a lot of events coming this January so we thought we'd just list them all right here to give you a heads up :)
Friday Night Magic: Yes, MtG's famous Friday Night Magic (FNM) is coming to Imagination Shoppe!!! Starting THIS Friday at 5:30pm (Jan. 8th) we will kick things off with a draft format tournament. I hear the sighs from the Type2'ers ... no worries my friends, we will still have our Type 2 Tuesdays and FNM just provides us a chance to do MORE Type 2 format. We will also be trying out other formats on FNM nights so if you have wants, desires, interests just let us know (you can reach us via email mtg*at*imaginationshoppe.net)
Open Mic Night: Since we've opened one of our regulars (yes Ben, that's you) has been begging us to run an open mic night ... and so here it is ... January 20th we will be hosting Open Mic Night for anyone that wants to come on down and share their artistic skills in the form of poetry, recital and/or song. Worldwake Prerelease Event: Not that we don't get enough Magic The Gathering but for those that need even more, Imagination Shoppe will be hosting an official Prerelease Party for the next Zendikar Block, Worldwake. Clear your calendar on January 30th ... you WILL be here ... you NEED to tap this ... /endofcheesygamereferences.
Starcraft 1v1 League: Long in discussion and even longer in setup, we are finally bringing Starcraft to the league level. Do you think you are good enough? Are you ready to be Zerged? Your Life for IShoppe? Sign ups will begin THIS week and the first league play will begin on January 11th @ 5pm.
Not enough to keep you busy? Well we are definitely attempting to shove as much fun into the Month of January as possible. You will also notice changes in the store as we attempt to increase our in stock retail selection and possibly even improve our seating arrangement with more tables and chairs. You may also notice more/new games being played by our regulars as we delve into a larger spectrum of imagination: Warhammer RPG, Yu-Gi-Oh (yes, we are getting more people for it), WoW TCG and much more. Don't just watch us ... come in and play with us ... be part of the fun this month!!!
